Wow, I don’t know what I’ve done but I feel like I’m being rewarded for something!
Another warmi-ish, bright-ish day today that we took full advantage of. Had to get some cleaning out of the way first, but I’m happy to report that the new iron is working well. It was almost fun to watch the wrinkles disappear. Then a little online shopping for me because Sue and Ed are being very amenable about bringing stuff over when they come in THREE WEEKS, followed by so much dim sum that Larry couldn’t even finish it all. The restaurant owners are awesome and keep sending us free dumplings whenever we go, but it’s gotten a little out of hand now. Today the woman ordered “You eat this! You eat now!” and brought us something new that we’re still not entirely certain of what it was. When we couldn’t finish, they then ordered us to take home a doggy bag. But I’m not arguing, I’m just saying!
Got some errands done after lunch, including finding Jennifer’s Christmas present which leaves just the boys left to go now. I also got a copy of the October “Men of the Year” GQ – for Larry of course – so that he (or I, if we’re being honest) can look at Orlando and the boys in their finery.
Home now for a lazy afternoon followed by Joanne coming over for a sleepover. Pizza and M&Ms it shall be. Now if only Reality Bites would come on tv…
Christmas shopping already?! Woah. Where are you spending the holidays? I’ll be back in S’pore with a side trip to Hong Kong. Weren’t you supposed to move to HK our senior year?
Indeed I was! I shop throughout the year though, and this year I want to be done so that I can send them home with my parents in October. So I’m not really all that organised normally.
Don’t lie. You so are. You’re always organised. You just get to use “ooh, my parents are coming in October” as an excuse this year.
Lies, all lies I tell thee. She’s a Christmas Shopper fiend!
LOL – I’ll be honest, I do try to get the gifts done before December, but I saw cards in M&S today and thought that was MUCH too early!
I try and buy all my Xmas cards in Jan when they’re 1/2 price. The hard part is just putting them where I can find them next December! I, too, try and have all my shopping done by Dec. 1
I usually try to wait for the annual charity cards, which thank goodness are not out quite yet!
