When the two 25lb turkeys went by the woman at the till said nothing.
When the five tins of cranberry sauce were being scanned she began to take an interest.
When the multiple pounds of green beans were followed by three sacks of potatoes (two white, one sweet) she may have raised an eyebrow.
When the 80 dinner rolls got to her she finally turned to my mother and I and asked “Ladies, how many people are you having for Thanksgiving?”
And where, might I ask, are you cooking this feast? Do you have an industrial kitchen?? 50 lbs is a lot of bird to roast – do you have to start at 4 am? So many questions!!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
That’s made me chuckle. Thanks!
And Happy Thanksgiving!

Amy – Yeah, like I’m actually involved in the cooking! But there are multiple kitchens and chefs involved. CT – You too!! Suze – Enjoy your chicken!
Hope you’re having a wonderful day Beth. Enjoy!
Wow! My Mom does not cook, so I think I’ve had a total of 2 or 3 homecooked Thanksgivings (at boyfriend’s or other relative’s homes).
