Because I am my father’s daughter, at the end of each day I write a to do list for the next day. I take great joy in crossing things off these lists. I don’t just tick off the things I’ve done, but cross them out in one of two ways. If I really did the thing I draw a heavy line through it. If I didn’t get to it I draw a wavy line through it. My mother once laughed at these rules, but rules are rules and not even she can escape doing it correctly if she wants to mark things off for me.
Laurence enjoys my to do lists. Every night he looks at them to see if I have a lot of work for the next day. Occasionally he adds things to them too. Usually they are sweet things. “Take a nap while Larry makes lunch” or “Tell Larry you love him a lot” have turned up on my lists.
Today, however, Laurence was acting like an ass. I told him so. A few minutes later I found a new note on my list.
“Tell Larry he is so annoying” was not just printed on the list, but it was heavily marked out as well.
Maybe now I should write “Invite others to laugh at Larry’s note” and cross that off too.
I love it. I’ve spat my drink on my keyboard reading this.
ohhh that Larrrrrrryyyy is so funny!! Tell him I still think he is funny!
….I don’t remember…Is there a special cross-out color pen?….
So funny
Jason does the same thing to my infamous to do lists…
Oh, and by the way – I ‘m so neurotic that I’l purposefully write something I’ve already done on my list just so I can have something crossed off. That’s a whole ‘nother level of to do list madness!!!
Suze – He’s a lovable ass, that’s for sure!
CT – Will do!
SED – If you ever need to know the inner-most secrets of the cross-off I will tell you. And then I will have to kill you.
Heather – Oh I do too! Nothing like doing an errand, writing it down and then crossing it off immediately!!
Sounds like work to me…..TG I’m a Z personality!!
