I know it’s a day late, but not really because we had a bank holiday again this weekend and Larry and I made the most of it by doing absolutely nothing.
Friday – I finished up work around lunch time and spent the afternoon watching Sex and the City and eating toffee popcorn. If I had been thinking I would have melted some chocolate to make them even more delicious, but I obviously wasn’t thinking. We had take away for dinner, watched a few DVDs and that was that.
Saturday – We lazed around and then Larry went out to get the papers and some croissants. When we got hungry we went out and got sandwiches and while I did some grocery shopping Larry went in to work. I ended up cleaning up a bit and makeing a bunch of meals to freeze for the week. When Larry got home he brought with him…. a Sony Reader! I love it! I immediately got it all set up and downloaded a few books, just to make sure everything was working correctly. And it was. And it weighs nothing. And I am so never going to have to break my back carrying a bunch of books when I travel ever again. Where was Larry while I went into raptures about my new Reader? He had a business dinner so I didn’t even feel guilty.
Sunday – Larry and I got up and put on the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. So it was pretty much dinner time by the time we showered and got dressed… in different pairs of pyjamas.
Monday – Yet more laziness! For the first time in years we didn’t go to watch the Dublin Marathon. It was gorgeous out, but really cold. Larry went to the gym and I finished up a tiny bit of work. Then we wandered around town for a little while and got some groceries. Another afternoon of cooking ensued as Laurence produced a fantastic French onion soup with homemade croutons and Gruyere cheese. It was so good he might have to go back to cooking a bit more.
Tuesday – Now we’re at today. I’ve been doing work. No real story there.
ooh, I’m jealous on many levels – the Sony Reader (which I didn’t know about), the day long pajama sessions, the home-made croutons…glad you two had a thoroughly relaxing weekend!
