The Bucket List

Jamaican-American In Cork forwarded me this one, and since I’m fresh out of ideas for today’s post I thought I’d just steal it and post it here.  You’re welcome.

THE BUCKET LIST 

( ) Gone on a blind date 

( ) Skipped school

( ) Watched someone die 

( ) Been to Canada 

( ) Been to Mexico 

( ) Been to Florida 

(x) Been on a plane – First flight at age 8 in Virgin Business Class.  Oh those Halcyon days.

(x) Been lost – Lol.  Um, yes.

(x) Been on the opposite side of the country – Of many countries, in fact.  Of the entire world!

(x ) Gone to Washington, DC - Yes.  Blurred memories though.

(x) Swam in the ocean – Atlantic and Pacific.  

(x) Cried yourself to sleep – Oh come on, what sane woman hasn’t?

(x) Played cops and robbers – Miami Vice cops and robbers, I believe. 

(x) Recently colored with crayons – I’m not apologising for this.

(x) Sang Karaoke –  And all the other crappy singers thanked me.

(x) Paid for a meal with coins only? - Gotta love one and two Euro coins!

(x) Done something you told yourself you wouldn’t? – Again, what sane woman hasn’t?

( ) Made prank phone call 

(x) Laughed until a beverage came out of your nose. – On a surprisingly regular basis.

(x) Caught a snowflake on your tongue. – Kate, shall we sing the snow song?

(x) Danced in the rain – Danced, kissed, cried.  Rain is prevalent in Dublin.

(x) Written a letter to Santa Claus – And he answered.

( ) Been kissed under the mistletoe. 

(x) Watched the sunrise with someone – Unfortunately in an insomniac way and a drunk way, not in a romantic way.

(x) Blown bubbles – The more the merrier.

(x) Gone ice-skating – Upon reflection I have no idea why.  My balance isn’t good on dry land.

( ) Been skinny dipping outdoors. 

(x) Gone to the movies – Every day if I could.

Any nickname?  Too many to remember.  Beejer is a family favourite at the moment.  I don’t know why.

How much do you love your job?  110%. 

Birthplace? Will be written about in history books one day.

Favorite vacation spot? Family vacations on Cape Cod, otherwise I like to explore new places.

Ever been to Africa?  Not yet.

Ever eaten just cookies for dinner?  More than once.

Ever been on TV?  MTV Asia has never been the same.

Ever steal any traffic signs?  No.  People got caned for that when I would have been the age to consider it.

Ever been in a car accident?  Once as a passenger, once as a driver.  And no, it wasn’t my fault.  And the state of Rhode Island agreed with me.

Can you drive a standard (manual shift) car?  Not unless it’s a dire emergency.  (I have no idea why this is so tiny.  Oh well.)

Favorite pie?  Peach raspberry.  Elusive yet delicious.

Favorite number?  Hmmmm.  1?  I’m number 1!  I’m number 1!

Favorite movie?  Black Hawk Down.  If only because Eric, Josh and Orlando all feature.

Favorite holiday?  Diwali is beautiful.  But I like a good Arbor Day too.  

Favorite dessert:  Chocolate hazelnut torte from the Four Seasons Singapore circa 1996 – 1998.  Obviously memorable.

Favorite food:  Chocolate.  Or cheese.  But not together usually.  

Favorite day of the week?  A good lazy Sunday can’t be beat.

How do you relax?  A good lazy bath can’t be beat.

How do you see yourself in 10 years?  Haven’t a clue.  Do you?  Maybe I’ll be a poet.  And I’ll know it.  Ok, I’ll stop now.  Cow, sow, bow, Frau, Mao.
