Today while at the grocery store picking up sweet potatoes a woman came up to me, touched my arm and said “Hi! How are things up at the school?”
Since I have never attended nor worked at a school in the town of Verona in the state of New Jersey in the country of the United States of America, I was obviously not the person she thought I was. Nevertheless, I answered with an enthusiastic “Great!”
She was glad and we parted ways.
I lied and I’d do it again.
I have no idea how things are at the school. But even if they aren’t fantastic, no one wants to hear that in the grocery store the day before Thanksgiving.
I love it when people ask me how I’m doing in school and I say ‘Well I’m 28, so…’ and they’re like ‘Oh you look so young!’ and I’m all, ‘nah, I’m just immature.’
But good for you for playing along!
Look at you, spreading all that Thanksgiving cheer.
Haha! Glad to hear that things are so great!
