So today is full of random notes.
1. Went to the cinema for a double header. Can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I enjoyed Twilight more than Bride Wars. However, part of that was because there was no one in the theatre and therefore my associate and I were able to mock the vampires all we wanted. Good times.
2. It was snowing when we took our lunch break. Snow! In Dublin!
3. I’m slowly getting through my emails and I love where they are coming from. Calcutta, India, Peshawar, Pakistan, Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, Shah Alam, Malaysia, Sao Paulo, Brazil. I feel like I should make a map or something.
4. I think my mobile battery is dying. It’s probably right on schedule since I’ve had it for about three years, but it’s annoying.
5. I wish I had a fireplace today. Fake electric fires don’t really cut it.
All very interesting and useful tidbits, then.
Was Bride Wars as bad as it looked in the trailers? I was so disappointed that Anne Hathaway was in that. She seems so much better than that… Someone in her camp made a bad call on that one I think.
I wasn’t that thrilled with Bride Wars either. I mean, they show pretty much the entire movie in the trailer! I missed the first few minutes of the movie, could you tell me what happens?
H – It really was pretty bad. I was disappointed.
Shari – Nothing much happens at the start, they are just little girls who have tea at The Plaza and decide that they want to get married there.
Thanks Beth. Glad that we didn’t miss much.
I was disappointed too. But fear not, check out these trailers for upcoming chick flicks in ‘09:

This is totally random, but the guy who plays Jasper Hale in Twilight is a family friend! My parents first met his 30 years ago in Norway…they’re an oil family, too, so they’ve moved a lot as well. J was actually born in Singapore! (his family lived in Jakarta but decided it was a better idea to give birth in Singapore…)
By the way — thanks for saving me $10! I had wanted to see Bride Wars but I think I’ll hold off on that….
Laura S – No way! That’s so cool!
Laura S – Definitely hold off until DVD.
Shari – I can’t wait!!
