I’m moving along on my 101 Things In 1001 Days project and have a few more to cross off. Always exciting for me. Sad but true.
12. Take query ideas out of folders and make a master list.
Completed 13 January, 2009. I actually did this while I was in the hospital. It was a good way to waste time and ignore the disgustingness of being poked and prodded every 10 minutes.
14. Journal every day for a week.
Completed 17 March, 2009. I actually did it every day for a little longer than a week but found out – yet again – that I’m not a huge fan of morning journaling. Blogging is so much more fun.
19. Invest in Circus Ponies Notebook.
Completed 28 February, 2009. This one I’ve manipulated slightly. The 28th of February is when the free trial ran out and I decided against purchasing it. It’s great, but I didn’t need it AND Scrivener and I fell in love with Scrivener intead. But I can still be friends with Circus Ponies, right?
20. Invest in Scrivener.
Completed 16 March, 2009. The day my free trial expired I bought a registration immediately. Now I wonder how I ever wrote without having all of my notes, videos, pictures and outlines in the same place. Not to mention the corkboard and index cards are cute, cute, cute. Highly recommended.
26. Change “doctor’s appointment notebook” to something cute.
Completed 26 February, 2009. It got changed to a little pink Moleskine anyway. Small but deadly – two consultants and a chemist now fear the sight of it.
31. Bake banana bread.
Completed 31 March, 2009. After traipsing to six different stores to find a new bicarbonate of soda I finally did this one yesterday. Too bad I only realised right in the middle of mixing that I used dark demarara sugar. Not a catastrophe, but not my fave either. I’ll have to perfect this one as I go along.
And I was almost on the way to completing “drink only water for one week” when I blew it on the SEVENTH day. Larry plied me with a pulled pork sandwich and got me to order a Pepsi with it. A freaking Pepsi. So not worth losing the whole week over. I’ll try harder next time.
So impressed with how much you accomplish. And accomplishing it with a dysfunctional thymus? Well, I’m just blown away.
I wrecked just reading this. How does one keep going!?!
