Recently I’ve been having a lot of conversations that go something like this:
Someone: What can I get you to help with surgery? Or for your recovery?
Beth: Nothing. Maybe a nice card.
S: No really, I’m going to get you something. What do you need?
B: Nothing. Just keep your fingers crossed for me.
S: I’m going to get you something whether you like it or not, so for the love of God make it easy on me and tell me what you want.
When it’s phrased like that, and since I know that almost everyone who has said it actually means it, I feel bad NOT giving any ideas. So, in the interest of making others’ lives easier, I’ve added to my Amazon Wishlist at Amazon USA.
Just think of it as a surgery registry, I suppose, full of books and DVDs!
Seriously though, if you do want to send something it would be much appreciated. But, getting our post is a little funny sometimes so PLEASE only send one item (so it can fit into our little box and doesn’t end up at a depot) and PLEASE check or write that it is an unsolicited gift (so it doesn’t end up at a depot).
See, I really do have the best friends. Not only do they want to send me things but they let me be really rude and give them orders about their good deeds. Everyone should have friends like mine!
I am kind of disappointed in your wish list. Where is the trashy novels. You have all of these good books you need some trash in there. Don’t worry I will find you some good ones.. I will be sending my prayers your way !
