Random Updates

A few random updates.

- Thank you everyone for the messages of support for the “surgery registry”.  I have to admit, I had double and then triple thoughts about posting it because it just seemed rude.  But now that I know everyone took it in the spirit in which it was meant I hope it makes everyone’s lives a little easier.

- Insurance issues have all been worked out and surgery will be going ahead on the 12th as scheduled.  I got confirmation that I am to appear promptly at 1pm on the 11th for admitting and pre-op fun.  Thank you to everyone for their good thoughts to make this latest hurdle a little one.  

- Larry caught me reading “this is how my thymectomy went” stuff last night and has banned me from such sites.  Which is a good thing, because after reading about intubation, catheters, chest tubes and all the rest of that nasty but necessary stuff I really did not sleep well.  

- Speaking of Larry, I only realised recently that when he gets in bed every night, snuggles in and announces “I love Bed!  I love Bed!”  he is in fact not saying “I love Beth! I love Beth!” with his strange little accent.  He is really exclaiming his love for getting in bed and going to sleep.  After 10 years that’s a little bit of a bummer.

- Sue, Jennifer and I all give a big thumbs down to Angelina Jolie becoming Kay Scarpetta.  No.  Just no.

- YouTube has become a very dangerous timesuck for me.  Yesterday I lost the whole afternoon watching Rove McManus.  I wish he’d come on here.  Larry arrived home to me saying “But really, who would you turn gay for?  Who would it be?”

- I feel partly responsible for today’s rain.  Yesterday I got out some t-shirts and sandals.  Clearly I jinxed it.
