Aw, I’m glad to hear you’re recovering! I just delved into Beatrix Potter: A Life in Nature, by Linda Lear, so if you liked B.P.’s little books as a kid I’d recommend it. It’s a tome, and will keep you occupied for at least a month.

Great news! So glad you are doing better and hope your road to full recovery continues.

Hmm, daytime tv…well, Gilmore Girls is on E4. Do you get ITV2? They are doing the US version of I’m a Celebrity. If you get Movies 24 (or something like that) they do tons of bad made-for-tv american movies. The Romance Channel has old episodes of American soaps from the early 90’s that are hilarious to watch if only for the clothing.

If you’ve got to watch bad daytime TV, I suggest Jeremy Kyle and Dr. Phil. Those were my favorites when we were in Dublin. Bad German daytime TV isn’t nearly as good.

Fantastic news! Sorry you had to find out you’re allergic to tylenol at such an inoportune moment, but glad you’re recovery is progressing. Have you read “Martyr’s Crossing” or “Water for Elephants”? I recommend both.
